CH13: Rest Stop Guide and Walkthrough
This compact route keeps the story readable while protecting the two missable actions. Use the spoiler-light overview first, then open the 100% section only when you want exact achievement timing.
Before you leave the first scene
CH13: Rest Stop is a short, narrative-driven psychological-horror game rather than an open-world driving simulator. The official page estimates roughly one hour for a full playthrough. Make time for a continuous run so the road, calls, and on-foot scenes retain their intended rhythm.
Steam lists mouse and keyboard as required. Check steering, camera sensitivity, subtitles, and display settings before starting the journey. There is an official free demo if you need to test performance or input before buying the full game.
- Start the journey to unlock “Let’s Head Home.”
- Read interaction prompts closely during on-foot scenes.
- Do not rush past candle arrangements if you want every achievement.
- Keep a manual note of the roadside-assistance conversation for the rare backtrack.
Spoiler-light phase roadmap

The opening establishes Wojciech’s exhausted drive home through early-2000s Poland. A road closure forces him away from the main route and into a forest detour. Follow the road and the game’s direct prompts; there is no evidence for a hidden alternate route that should replace the intended sequence.
Later phases move out of the car and into the forest. The reliable progression pattern is simple: complete the current interaction, inspect the immediate area, then return to the vehicle or road when the scene makes that available. The walkthrough video used for sequence checking shows driving, an on-foot forest section, a roadside-assistance call, more exploration, a return to driving, and the ending.
100% route: protect the two missables
“Small Gesture” asks you to set the fallen candles upright. When you encounter fallen candles during exploration, interact with them before leaving the area. The public achievement text confirms the action, but the official listing does not publish a room-by-room location map.
“Something Familiar” has a developer-confirmed timing window. After talking to roadside assistance, return to the location where the monster had been standing. The developer says something will be on the ground there. Inspect it before committing to later progression. The reply does not name the object, so this guide deliberately does not supply a guessed label.
- Start the trip — Let’s Head Home.
- Reach the relevant story return — Welcome Back.
- Right the fallen candles — Small Gesture.
- After roadside assistance, backtrack to the monster’s former position — Something Familiar.
- Finish the game — Thank You For Playing!
If you feel stuck
First sweep the current space for a readable prompt, then retrace only to the last obvious transition. The experience is short and linear enough that abandoning the intended scene for a long road search is usually less useful than checking the car, the nearby forest path, or the last interaction point.
If the issue is technical rather than navigational, compare your PC with the official requirements and try the demo. The store lists Windows only and requires mouse and keyboard; this site does not claim native macOS/Linux support or Valve Steam Deck verification.
